I’m Meg, I Dews Design & Events, LLC’s founder. As a Certified Wedding Planner and Designer, and member of The Bridal Society, I possess the ability to flawlessly execute your event from start to finish. I specialize in curating a unique and personalized wedding experience-and have a passion for breaking the rules when it comes to “wedding traditions” and expectations. As a planner, I strive to maintain a relaxed and calming approach to the planning process. While wedding planning can be stressful-it doesn’t have to be! Let me handle obsessing over all those stressful details, call me crazy but it’s a part of the job I actually love!
For as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to be a wedding planner. As a child I had my very own wedding notebook, a collection of design ideas and inspiration, dreaming of the perfect tablescape. I came to this field with a unique perspective after seven years in the social work field. While I possess the skills, knowledge, and connections to support you in the design and coordination of your event, I bring something more to the table for you.
My background in working under intense pressure, and navigating complex family systems has prepared me to handle any and every dynamic, detail, or stressor that comes my way on your wedding day. I am driven by a love for design, passion for helping others, and committed to developing lasting connections with those I work with. I believe with my whole heart in the work that I do, and the magic I create.
When I’m not busy excitedly planning your magical event, you can most likely find me checking out the latest hot new brewery, browsing vintage vinyl, and renovating my mid century fixer upper home. I live in Burlington, VT with my handsome husband and our two labradors; Bunker & Mansfield.
